Do you know your library?

I thought I did. I was wrong.

I didn't know the opening times.

I do have & did have their number on my mobile phone.

I knew I could take books out, and return them. And pay a fine when they're late.

I didn't know I could reserve books online. Or create a list (only for 48 hours), then send that list to my email account, or save it to disk. Have done it for the first agent I wish to query.

So far it looks as though some of my work would fit into their genre. They are a large agency so my different genres would fit in well if I could nab one...

I can reserve books online, choose where to collect them up.

I love my library!

So, how well do you know your library?

Not very well. I hate to say it, but I gave up a while back getting stuff from the library. They always seemed to be out of what I wanted, and I'm not very patient to wait on a list.

Plus, I'm really bad about forgetting to take the books back on time, and they don't like that at all.

I'd have to say I know mny libraries well (We have 5 in town). I know opening and closing times (each branch opens and closes at different times). I know many of the employees by name (they know me and my kids too). I know where each section is. I know how to reserve books online AND how to have them delivered to my home! I also know on which holidays they are closed and on which they just have shortened hours.

Home delivery! Yup, not here across the pond....

Yeah, normally I'm impatient, but it saves me money. And I'm reading for business purpose! (so definitely don't have the majority of books on my to read list).

Come the summer, I'll be spending a lot of time in the evenings in the library - when its light, I can drive. Gives me a little extra time out from parents :)

I know mine okay, but I'd rather just get a Kindle right now while I don't have a car. :)

Well, you have to prove a valid reason for needing home delivery. I got 10 books a week delivered to my house while I was on best rest with Ben. It was wonderful. After he was born, I went through all my books and gave the library about 1000 of them as a thank you.
