PWP chapter update!

Last night I started writing chapter 6. I had a clear picture of what I wanted to happen. About 2-3 events.

Muse got into hypermode. What I thought would be a short chapter (1700) ended up as 2212. I only wrote about one event. Which ended up being great fun!

Today, after work and Japanese, I was driving home and all I wanted to do was write. So here I am after going through emails etc. I'm going to work on chapter 7!

See you on the other side!

Drat. Just remembered I need to go and edit chapter 6 which I posted on CC. I'd called a certain benig a Fairy, just because I couldn't come up with anything else. Now I know what I'm calling it/the species. Lights.

Imperial Intrigue plot fixed!

2.3k later....I have a rough plot for II. The revised version. I've got most of it down - the last part of the wip is hazy, but my muse doesn't like putting the dots down on paper.

Lei was sweet and checked it over for me, making great suggestions, so now I can start it. Got a small stack of Japanese homework to do today, then I can write. Will let you know how my new process of writing goes.

I'm excited about II, not just because its a new revision, but because of the new content. Although some of the ideas are new, I don't have to worry too much about learning what the characters are like, because I got acquainted in the last version. Thankfully the Emperor does come across as evil in the plot outline, so I should be able to make him evil in the chapters. I was debating having the FMC's younger brother be the 2nd POV (yes, big cut down from 5 POVs....), but a new, Imperial character announced herself to me. Xeryas isn't someone you say no to.

Traffic jams, showers - what's your best place for inspiration?

Yesterday I meant to blog on traffic jams. I wasn't in a major one, just the usual on Friday morning. I'd left the house a little later than normal, because after actually getting a good night's sleep I was a little slow getting out of bed. Thanks to my semi-flexible working hours, that wasn't a problem with work.

Anyone, sitting in my car waiting for cars to move a snail's pace, I managed to work out a fair bit of Termion. Which, since its my current wip, is wonderful. And then, last night int he shower I had more inspiration. I had a scene (well several) I wanted to put in Termion. I was going to change the early chapters to include it, but then worked out how to include it a bit later on :) I've still got a few main issues I'm unsure about, but I trust my muse to figure it out in the end. Probably not how I initially planned it, but hey, things happen.

Yesterday I was recovering from the stress of the week. It involved at least 6 hours of gaming :) Bliss. Had my arabic lesson, came back, gamed some more. Atelier Iris 3 is as addictive as the others. I managed to watch 2 episodes of Star Trek Voyager - although can't honestly tell you what happened since I was busy writing 2k for chapter 5 of Termion, book 1 :D So I achieved a lot more than I intended to.

Today's agenda: well, I do have a mound of Japanese to tackle. But first, I must er go on Atelier Iris three. :D I am to start work by lunchtime. :) (its the weekend! I've had a hectic week and need the R&R because I'm sure this week will be just as manic. Plus it is my last 3 day weekend until the winter vacation (from 24th Dec to 5th Jan, I think :D) Love working at an institution which gives employees good winter and spring vacations.

*Hugs to days off*

Okay, so today was an impromptu day off (thanks to radiator man changing when he was coming). But it was productive.

40 mins of Japanese (in 20 min sessions, where I focused really hard and a lot went in my head).

Several, wonderful hours on TR:A. I finished Peru! Really pleased because I managed to find 2 secrets in the last level. Am fed of up velocoraptors, but hopefully I've seen the last of them. In St Frances' Folly now....and already groaning in memory of the original game. But I've got quite a supply of medipacks, so hopefully I'll survive (well, Lara will....eventually).

Also had several equally wonderful hours of writing. Completed chapter 3, started and finished chapter 4, and started chapter 5 of Termion! Making good headway with the first draft. Very drafty, but there'll be a lot to work with on the first edit. Potentially I may get to chapter 7 today. About to put on a movie, and write :)

Made pesto and pine-nut bread last night in the breadmachine - it ended up a bit doughy. But today it seems to have dried out a bit more, so I'm not too concerned. It's edible, and very tasty.. Might try adding a little less granary, and just a little less pesto (okay, i added nearly 3 tbsp instead of 2...)

My wips! Yes, I said I'd mention them... Um it'll be under separate posts so people can discuss them easily.
