This morning I woke up, looked at the clock and thought 'great, 20 mins before I need to get up for work'.
Got downstairs, fed an extremely vocal cat. Looked at the clock. It was 7am. Not nearly 8am.
I hadn't changed the clock on my phone! (And I'd turned the auto update feature off).
So I used the extra hour to craft (that is my new term for writing - because truly this new style is crafting) 211 words.
That's me for the day. I was groaning at so little to a fellow writer, but she said it is good for how I'm working. Plus my beta says my writing's improving...so I guess I'll go with slow and steady. I may speed up eventually. Hopefully I won't have to sit for minutes at a time mentally running through the long list of writing faults I have, just to see if a sentence can stay in the novel.
Whoever thinks writing is easy, is very much mistaken. It is the best thing in the world, but it's hard work.

Agreed. On all counts. O:) You're doing a great job--keep it up. :D
Writing is very hard. Slow and steady doesn't mean bad. :-)
Thanks guys! Its hard from writing so much in a day (which was lower quality) to writing less than half. Quality is definitely better.
Excruciating. The perferct words never come at the same time for me, so the process can be difficult at best.
Keep at it hon, we will get there eventually.
Ah--who was it that said, "Writing is easy. You just stare at a blank page until drops of blood appear on your forehead."
Congrats on your 211! It's way more than my 000! ;)
*nods head at Tamika* I just keep reminding myself about the tortoise and the hare.
Amy = lol! That is so true. At least I'm not literally dripping blood - think of how the keyboard would look!
Writing is REALLY hard! I totally agree! I'm hoping to get back to writing soon.
I hope so too RWJ - it's so much fun!
