Editing will carry on tonight for Termion! It will! No matter how tired I am for waking at 4.33am...:)
On the morning commute today I worked out more for APWP. Cat invasion is planned. I am not kidding.
Getting ideas for a new religious wip - it'll be sci-fi! Set in space (lots of scope for expansion), protag (female, naturally. Might be married, not sure yet) is part of a diplomatic team. Said team comes from a less conservative planet/colony. On way to conservative colony/colony with mixed religions where there's a lot of tension. Ambassador dies. Protag has to step in. Much *conflict* involved :) In very early stages of imagination. Got to work out weapons next...I'm thinking of knives - less likely to cause a hull breach.

Cat invasion! I hope there's a colony of dogs for them to fight off before rescuing the princess and saving the day :)
A Christian sci-fi sounds awesome though - there aren't enough of those around!
Um...not Christian. Still Abrahamic religion though - I'm Muslim :) Of which there are definitely not enough stories! I have plans to create a market for it ;) As well as standard sci-fi & fantasy.
No dogs involved. Just cats.
Sorry about the mix-up! :)
And I thought there weren't a substantial amount of Christian fiction books - I can't even imagine the hurdles you'll be crossing. Good luck with the endeavor - and with the crazy cat invasion!!
No worries! I write a mixture of both. Looking for an agent that'll take me for both too, should be fun. Religious wips, I hope, will appeal to main genre readers.
It's definitely in how you approach the religious aspect. Have you ever read the Firebird trilogy by Kathy Tyers? It's religious science fiction that I thought didn't hit you over the head with religion and could possibly be appreciated by the mainstreamers. It's based on Christianity but without specifically mentioning it. I loved the series.
No, I haven't but I'll definitely try and read it before I start the new wips. Thanks for the recommendation (and nice to see you here :) )
